He was also Jason&#8217;s second-in-command.<\/p>\n<p>Lin has the same sort of resume that Montgomery has (shorts and a TV movie) which continues the theme of casting unknowns. Curiously, neither of them were on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com\/news\/2015\/10\/05\/actors-considered-for-power-rangers-reboot-movie\/\">original short-list<\/a> for these characters, the way Naomi Scott was.<\/p>\n<p>The characters&#8217; names haven&#8217;t been revealed yet, which gives some weight to the theory that this might not be a reboot at all, but a continuation or an entirely new story.<\/p>\n<p><em>Power Rangers,<\/em> directed by Dean Israelite, is set to debut on January 13, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Are you looking forward to this movie?
