After numerous teasers<\/a>, the full-length trailer for Marvel’s<\/a> Jessica Jones<\/em><\/strong> is finally here.<\/p>\n

It’s a dark trailer with disturbing imagery so if that doesn’t bother you, check it out below!<\/p>\n

The massive success of Daredevil<\/em> has people expressing only excitement for this follow-up series and the trailer should only hype it more. It may be dark, but it looks excellent.<\/p>\n

It shows mostly what we already know, in a more complete way: Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter)<\/strong> is a former superhero who quit the business after Zebediah Killgrave aka the Purple Man (David Tennant)<\/strong> used his own powers to make her do traumatizing things. Now he’s back and after her. Also along for the ride is Luke Cage (Mike Colter),<\/strong> a hero in his own right who eventually marries Jessica. He’ll be getting his own Netflix series next year.<\/p>\n

Marvel movies have the unfortunate problem of doling out forgettable villain after forgettable villain but after the way Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) stole the show in Daredevil,<\/em> I think it’s fair to assume that Killgrave will be an equally powerful villain, if far less understanding and sympathetic.<\/p>\n

Still, it’s Jessica who’s at the heart of this show and Ritter seems to have her strength and hard edge down pat. I’m excited to see her take on this role and make it her own.<\/p>\n

Jessica Jones<\/em> will hit Netflix on November 20th. It stars Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, Rosario Dawson (returning from Daredevil as Claire Temple), David Tennant, Carrie-Anne Moss, Rachael Taylor, Eka Darville, Wil Traval, and Erin Moriarty.<\/p>\n
