It ranges from absolutely terrible (<em>X-Men: The Last Stand,<\/em> which was so bad <em>X-Men: Days of Future Past<\/em> was made virtually to retcon it) to genuinely great (<em>X-Men: First Class<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Now we have another entry into the franchise, <em><strong>X-Men: Apocalypse,<\/strong><\/em> and its first trailer has finally arrived!<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll admit I can&#8217;t really put my finger on it, and Bryan Singer is a director who is extremely hit or miss for me. Check it out for yourself.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/COvnHv42T-A\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>As a <em>huge<\/em> X-Men fan, I&#8217;m so excited to be getting characters like Cyclops and Jean Grey and Storm and Nightcrawler back, as well as new characters I&#8217;ve never seen before on the big screen like Psylocke and Jubilee and Apocalypse.<\/p>\n<p>But this trailer simply doesn&#8217;t excite me as much as I want it to. Havok&#8217;s back after disappearing for a film, Mystique&#8217;s hair is <em>fully<\/em> embracing the 80s, and when you have an incredible actor like Oscar Isaac playing Big Bad Apocalypse&#8230; you <em>have<\/em> to give him more.<\/p>\n<p>If anything, there&#8217;s that last shot and that&#8217;s what we should all be talking about.<\/p>\n<p><em>X-Men: Apocalypse<\/em> is set to hit theatres on May 27, 2016, directed by Bryan Singer, and starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Alexandra Shipp, Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Evan Peters, Olivia Munn, and Oscar Isaac.<\/p>\n<p>What do you think of the trailer?
