It&#8217;s something we know entirely too well here, so when I was watching <a href=\"https:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com\/hitlist.asp?theme=Saturday+Night+Live&amp;utm_source=ee-blog&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_campaign=entertainment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em><strong>Saturday Night Live<\/strong><\/em><\/a> this weekend and suddenly a commercial for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com\/hitlist.asp?theme=Star+Wars&amp;utm_source=ee-blog&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_campaign=entertainment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em><strong>Star Wars<\/strong><\/em><\/a> toys came on, my attention was piqued&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>And then I realized it was a parody commercial from <em>SNL<\/em> themselves and I could not stop laughing.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/EYyuo7gm-aQ\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Some of the variety show&#8217;s humor is at its best when it&#8217;s biting like this. It doesn&#8217;t hold back any punches, and Bobby Moynihan, Taran Killam, and Kyle Mooney hilariously deliver their lines to a slightly weird laugh track.<\/p>\n<p>When Mooney stumbles into a kid&#8217;s shot, saying he has three of each toy, &#8220;one to display, one to open, and one just in case,&#8221; it&#8217;s hard not to laugh as the kid asks him why and he just awkwardly stares into the camera.<\/p>\n<p>Comedy&#8217;s a brilliant genre that&#8217;s hard to do, as <em>SNL<\/em> is evidence of in spades, but when they get it right, they <em>really<\/em> get it right.
