{"id":36241,"date":"2016-01-07T18:02:17","date_gmt":"2016-01-08T01:02:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com\/news\/?p=36241"},"modified":"2019-03-06T15:02:58","modified_gmt":"2019-03-06T23:02:58","slug":"tnt-teen-titans-series-canceled","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com\/news\/tnt-teen-titans-series-canceled\/","title":{"rendered":"TNT Shuts Down Titans, the Series Based on DC Comics&#8217; Teen Titans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The TNT series <em><strong>Titans,<\/strong><\/em> based off of DC Comics&#8217; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com\/hitlist.asp?theme=Teen+Titans&amp;utm_source=ee-blog&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_campaign=entertainment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Teen Titans<\/a>, has apparently been canceled.<\/p>\n<p>The series, which was to be headlined by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com\/news\/2014\/12\/09\/dc-comics-teen-titans-tv-show\/\">Nightwing<\/a> and see a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com\/news\/2015\/02\/03\/tnt-titans-team-roster-revealed\/\">team<\/a> that consisted of Hawk and Dove, Starfire, Raven, and Oracle, was meant to shoot the pilot last year.<\/p>\n<p>However, TNT president Kevin Reilly explained at the Television Critics Association: &#8220;We decided it wasn\u2019t where we wanted to go.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s disappointing, because the Teen Titans are ripe for storytelling and adventure.
