{"id":36601,"date":"2016-01-13T16:05:08","date_gmt":"2016-01-13T23:05:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com/news\/?p=36601"},"modified":"2019-03-06T14:58:47","modified_gmt":"2019-03-06T22:58:47","slug":"nintendo-pokemon-20th-anniversary-video","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com/news\/nintendo-pokemon-20th-anniversary-video\/","title":{"rendered":"Nintendo Releases Video Announcing Plans to Celebrate Pok\u00e9mon&#8217;s 20th Anniversary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Who&#8217;s excited for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com\/hitlist.asp?theme=Pokemon&amp;utm_source=ee-blog&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_campaign=entertainment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em><strong>Pok\u00e9mon&#8217;s<\/strong><\/em><\/a> 20th Anniversary?!<\/p>\n<p>There have already been so many exciting announcements, including <a href=\"http:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com/news\/2015\/09\/10\/pokemon-go-trailer\/\"><em>Pok\u00e9mon Go<\/em><\/a> and the re-release of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com/news\/2015\/12\/29\/pokemon-original-deck-re-release-20th-anniversary\/\">original card set<\/a>, but that was only the beginning.<\/p>\n<p>Nintendo released a video yesterday announcing several things they&#8217;re planning this year and clearly we&#8217;re in for a good time:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mlcckRrhaNQ\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>They&#8217;re especially emphasizing mythical Pok\u00e9mon, releasing them monthly starting in February, as well as mythical Pok\u00e9mon collections for the trading card game.<\/p>\n<p>Plus they&#8217;ll be digitally remastering and re-releasing all the movies and there&#8217;s going to be really cool merch like a Nendoroid figure of Pok\u00e9mon trainer Red and special 20th Anniversary products featuring the new, special logo.<\/p>\n<p>And last but not least, brand new games!<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s certainly a good year to be a <em>Pok\u00e9mon<\/em> fan.
