{"id":38986,"date":"2016-02-15T17:03:12","date_gmt":"2016-02-16T01:03:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com/news\/?p=38986"},"modified":"2019-03-06T12:11:15","modified_gmt":"2019-03-06T20:11:15","slug":"daredevil-season-2-punisher-trailer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com/news\/daredevil-season-2-punisher-trailer\/","title":{"rendered":"New Daredevil Season 2 Trailer Pits the Man Without Fear Against Punisher"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A new <a href=\"http:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com\/hitlist.asp?theme=Daredevil&amp;utm_source=ee-blog&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_campaign=entertainment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em><strong>Daredevil<\/strong><\/em><\/a> trailer dropped today and, just like the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com/news\/2016\/01\/07\/daredevil-season-2-premiere-date-teaser-and-poster\/\">previous one<\/a>, is very Catholic.<\/p>\n<p>Set to the sounds of an angelic choir, this new trailer pits Charlie Cox&#8217;s Daredevil against Jon Bernthal&#8217;s Punisher, with the former trying to stop the latter from terrorizing Hell&#8217;s Kitchen.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/m5_A0Wx0jU4\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Punisher is out to get vengeance for his family&#8217;s deaths, but Daredevil takes issue with how he goes about it.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, this is similar to the fight between Daredevil and Season 1&#8217;s Wilson Fisk (Vincent D&#8217;Onofrio) where the men wanted the same thing &#8211; bettering Hell&#8217;s Kitchen &#8211; but clashed over a difference in execution.<\/p>\n<p>In this case, Daredevil is once again trying to protect Hell&#8217;s Kitchen, but this time from a man who doesn&#8217;t seem to care what happens to it.<\/p>\n<p>Deborah Ann Woll&#8217;s Karen suggests to Matt that perhaps they helped create Punisher, which is an interesting idea to explore. This show is nothing if not challenging.<\/p>\n<p>The trailer ends with Punisher telling Daredevil that he&#8217;s &#8220;one bad day away from becoming like him&#8221; and the audience can&#8217;t help but wonder if Daredevil will cross a line this season.<\/p>\n<p><em>Daredevil<\/em> Season 2 will arrive on Netflix on March 18.<\/p>\n<p>What do you think of the new trailer?
