Are you ready to get back to Marvel’s lovable band of space misfits?<\/p>\n
Marvel released the official cast list for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2<\/strong><\/em><\/a> and it includes some pretty exciting names:<\/p>\n \u201cGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2\u201d is written and directed by James Gunn (\u201cGuardians of the Galaxy,\u201d \u201cSlither\u201d). The film marks the return of the original Guardians, including Chris Pratt (\u201cJurassic World,\u201d \u201cGuardians of the Galaxy\u201d) as Peter Quill\/Star-Lord; Zoe Saldana (\u201cGuardians of the Galaxy,\u201d \u201cStar Trek Into Darkness\u201d) as Gamora; Dave Bautista (\u201cSpectre,\u201d \u201cGuardians of the Galaxy\u201d) as Drax; Vin Diesel (\u201cGuardians of the Galaxy,\u201d \u201cFurious 7\u201d) as the voice of Groot; Bradley Cooper (\u201cJoy,\u201d \u201cAmerican Sniper\u201d) as the voice of Rocket; Michael Rooker (\u201cGuardians of the Galaxy,\u201d \u201cJumper\u201d) as Yondu; Karen Gillan (\u201cGuardians of the Galaxy,\u201d \u201cThe Big Short\u201d) as Nebula; and Sean Gunn (\u201cGuardians of the Galaxy,\u201d \u201cGilmore Girls\u201d) as Kraglin. New cast members include Pom Klementieff (\u201cOldboy\u201d), Elizabeth Debicki (\u201cThe Great Gatsby,\u201d \u201cEverest\u201d), Chris Sullivan (\u201cThe Knick,\u201d \u201cThe Drop\u201d) and Kurt Russell (\u201cThe Hateful Eight,\u201d \u201cFurious 7\u201d).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Pom Klementieff was previously revealed<\/a> in October, but this is the first confirmation for the long-rumored Kurt Russell.<\/p>\n Whether or not he’ll be playing Star-Lord’s father as the rumors have suggested remains to be seen, but whoever his character is, it’ll undoubtedly be fun.<\/p>\n Principal photography has also begun on the film and Marvel released this photo:<\/p>\n Check out Baby Groot!<\/p>\n Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2<\/em> is directed by James Gunn and set to hit theaters on May 5, 2017.<\/p>\n Who do you think Kurt Russell will play?
