After months of silence, which followed some<\/a> of the best<\/a> casting<\/a> in movie history<\/a>, we finally have the first teaser trailer for Disney’s upcoming live-action Beauty and the Beast<\/strong><\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Get ready for some serious magic.<\/p>\n

<\/iframe><\/p>\nThis trailer really is beautiful and what I love about it is that it acts both as a teaser and a prologue, using a piano rendition of “Prologue (The Enchantress),” as well as subtly showing the decay of the castle as the curse takes over.<\/p>\nIt ends with voice-overs from Lumiere (Ewan McGregor) and Cogsworth (Ian McKellen), as Emma Watson’s Belle enters and finds the enchanted rose.<\/p>\nThe trailer really banks on familiarity and nostalgia but based on the internet’s reactions (my own included), it’s definitely working.<\/p>\nBeauty and the Beast<\/em> is directed by Bill Condon and stars Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, Ian McKellen, Emma Thompson, Stanley Tucci, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Kevin Kline, and Audra McDonald.
