The DC Extended\u00a0Universe, or DCEU, has been hit or miss for most fans — and the critics haven’t been too kind, either.<\/p>\n

But good news to all the Bat-fans who miss the days of goofy, campy, POW!<\/em>-heavy superhero action! TV’s silliest Batman<\/a> (Adam West himself) is returning to the DC Animated Universe alongside the Boy Wonder (Burt Ward) and Catwoman (Julie Newmar) in the brand new Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Judging by the hysterical trailer Entertainment Weekly<\/a><\/em> just released, where Bats explains the movie’s plot to Robin (“Holy Spoiler Alert, Batman!”) while the pair escape a microwave dinner tray, the animated adventure promises to be just as over-the-top as old school fans could hope.<\/p>\n

No word yet on the new voices for the Joker, Riddler, or Penguin, but regardless of who fills in the rest of the cast, it’ll be great to hear West and Ward back at it again.<\/p>\n

Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders<\/em> will be available for digital download October 11th, with the Blu-Ray to follow on November 1st.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
