Those of us who grew up in the pre-digital age only had our imaginations to rely on to create larger than life adventures. And while that was all well and good, I just know that we would have been over the moon with the chance to use special effects technology to enhance our play time.<\/p>\n<p>Star Wars Studio FX will soon be premiering an app that kids young and old alike can use alongside their <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com\/rogueone.asp\">Rogue One: A Star Wars Story <\/a><\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com\/rogueone.asp\">merchandise and action figures<\/a>. The app allows users to create short films of their toys and then elevate the footage with special effects. There will be 30 effects in total, ranging from X-Wing laser fire strikes to your favorite droids making an animated appearance.<\/p>\n<p>Each Hasbro <em>Rogue One: A Star Wars Story <\/em>toy will feature a QR code on the packaging that can then be scanned with your phone to unlock new VFX. If you only feel like purchasing one or two new <em>Rogue One<\/em> toys, never fear! You can also unlock VFX in the app using in game currency. Don\u2019t worry; you don\u2019t have to pay real money to purchase it. The currency can be earned by making new movies within the app!<\/p>\n<p>Star Wars Studio FX will be launching this incredible new app on iOS and Android later this month.
