Star Wars <\/em>has been a part of the geek world for almost 40 years now. The franchise has kept fans involved for decades through both the good and the bad. Through prequels, strange characters, and the occasional fan outcry, Star Wars <\/em>always had an ace up its sleeve: The droids.<\/p>\n We\u2019re not talking about any random droid, or one of the thousands of B1 battle droids that spent their time \u2018roger roger\u2019ing through the Hayden Christiansen era. We\u2019re talking about some of the most important hunks of metal in the galaxy – C-3P0, R2-D2, and BB-8<\/a>.<\/p>\n These characters have held onto our hearts from the time we first met R2-D2 and C-3P0 on board the Tantive IV, to the moment we watched BB-8 race across the desert with Rey. Though C-3P0 is the only one who speaks the same language as the rest of us, BB-8 and R2\u2019s expressiveness cannot be ignored. Their sassy little beeps endeared them to millions and continue to help them fly off toy shelves everywhere. 3P0 takes a softer side, one that keeps him nestled in our hearts no matter how long it\u2019s been since we last popped in Star Wars.<\/em><\/p>\n That warmth we feel for the golden droid had fans all a-panic as we waited with baited breath to find out what had happened to his poor arm! Those snarky little beeps did a number for BB-8 as well. Fans adored him before knowing anything about him, and now that the world\u2019s seen Star Wars:\u00a0The Force Awakens, <\/em>his popularity has only skyrocketed!<\/p>\n
