Teaser trailers and posters are a mixed blessing, really. On the one hand, YES!<\/em> to new glimpses of hotly anticipated fun. On the other, BOO!<\/em> that we have to wait so many months<\/em> to get the final product. Why is May so far away?<\/p>\n

James Gunn and Co. have delivered a double whammy today that’s already making us oogah-chakka in excitement.<\/p>\n

The black and white poster features a line-up of familiar faces: Drax (Dave Bautista), Starlord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper), Yondu (Michael Rooker), Nebula (Karen Gillan) — and, yes, a wee tiny Groot (Vin Diesel) down by Starlord’s feet —\u00a0 all striking poses worthy of a Calvin Klein ad. (The black and white only wonderfully emphasizes this.)<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the teaser trailer spotlights yet another glorious Drax moment (if you don’t want Drax hugs, Quill, I’ll<\/em> take some Drax hugs), Gamora preparing to throw down with a boss sword, Groot looking adorable on Rocket’s shoulder while wearing a little jacket, and Yondu sporting his spiffy new mohawk. Gotta say, that’s a good look on you, Rooker.<\/p>\n
