These 1:6 scale, screen-accurate, cold-cast color porcelain figures perfectly capture the likenesses of the oldest and youngest members of the Munster family, from The Munsters<\/em><\/a>, the classic 1964-66 CBS sitcom inspired by Universal\u2019s famous movie monsters.<\/p>\n

Up first – “Abracadabra and Asee Dosee, Alakazam and Bela Lugosi!” It\u2019s none other than Grandpa Munster<\/a>, played by vaudeville veteran Al Lewis, who proudly embraced the character for 40 years. He\u2019s relaxing between inventions in his favorite electric chair, cigar in one hand, the latest issue of Playghoul <\/em>magazine in the other (we\u2019re sure he reads it for the articles). His pet bat Igor perches behind him. This 12-inch tall sculpture pays terrific tribute to the wise-cracking but warm-hearted mad vampire scientist.<\/p>\n

Up next, it\u2019s young Eddie – Edward Wolfgang<\/a>, to be precise – played by Butch Patrick, who years later said he won the role in part because his \u201cfangs\u201d were the real deal: \u201cMy eyeteeth were so bad, that even when I closed my mouth they stuck out.\u201d Not quite a teen wolf (he hasn\u2019t yet finished fifth grade), Eddie\u2019s enjoying a creature feature on TV as he cuddles with Woof Woof, his plush werewolf doll. Kitty, the family\u2019s black cat, is on top of the set, roaring like a lion. About half the height of the Grandpa maquette<\/a>, the Eddie statue will evoke fond nostalgia in anyone who was a fun-loving, frequently furry kid in the ’60s.<\/p>\n
