Now that we\u2019ve finally gotten another trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming<\/em> we can start discussing just who we saw in the footage. We all know Peter Parker\u2019s story. Radioactive spider bite, super powers, responsibility. We get it. But, this will be the first time we get to see a live action version of the Spidey villain Vulture. As we crawl ever closer to the premiere date of the new Spider-Man<\/em><\/a> movie, let\u2019s see who our favorite web-slinger will be fighting against.<\/p>\n

From the Beginning<\/strong><\/p>\n

It should be noted that there have been a few different people to take up the mantle of Vulture, but the most common, and the man we will see in the upcoming film is Adrian Toomes. Toomes was created in 1963 by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko and first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #2<\/em>. He\u2019s a former electronics engineer who created a very special flight harness that also gives him superhuman strength. It\u2019s even rumored that the harness increases his lifespan. In the comics, Toomes is portrayed as an older man but he\u2019s a very strong fighter and he\u2019s a remorseless killer. Vulture was Spider-Man\u2019s second villain he faced and he\u2019s has been in every incarnation of the super-villain group the Sinister Six<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The Perfect Antagonist<\/strong><\/p>\n

While we\u2019ve seen the Green Goblin<\/em>, Rhino<\/em>, Venom<\/em>, Doc Ock,<\/em> Electro<\/em>, and the Lizard<\/em> in various versions of the live action Spider-Man<\/em> films, it\u2019s exciting to know that this version of Peter Parker will have to do battle with someone so cold and calculating right out of the gate. Michael Keaton will portray Toomes and from the trailer we can tell he\u2019ll be ruthless and a true challenge to young Spidey. Peter Parker<\/a> is just a regular kid who becomes a superhero and he\u2019ll be fighting Toomes, a regular guy who becomes a supervillain.<\/p>\n

Spider-Man: Homecoming<\/em> will hit theaters on July 7, 2017.<\/p>\n
