But we knew the Emperor was evil – unambiguously, indisputably evil<\/em>.<\/p>\n

We knew it because of the glee he takes in springing his trap on the Rebel Fleet.<\/p>\n

We heard it in his croaking cackle as he revels in Luke and Vader’s combat.<\/p>\n

Above all, we saw it in his haunting, hideous appearance.<\/p>\n
