With a change in directors and coinciding reshoots, there has been a lot of doubt surrounding this film. But there&#8217;s also been a lot of excitement in waiting for our first look at this new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com\/hitlist.asp?theme=Star+Wars&amp;utm_source=ee-blog&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_campaign=product\"><em>Star Wars<\/em><\/a> film. During yesterday&#8217;s barrage of Super Bowl commercials, we were given a glimpse at the movie with a short teaser spot.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"620\" height=\"349\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9Szts88zY4o?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Today during Good Morning America, Lucasfilm graced us with the first official teaser trailer and it told quite a bit more. In the trailer, we get proof that this will be a true origin story &#8211; we&#8217;ll see where Han Solo really came from. A voiceover, provided by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com/news\/2016\/05\/06\/alden-ehrenreich-cast-as-han-solo\/\">Alden Ehrenreich<\/a>, tells us that Solo has been running scams ever since he was a 10-year-old kid, being kicked out of the flight academy for having a mind of his own with a goal of being the best pilot in the galaxy.<\/p>\n<p>The plot of the film is revealed by Beckett (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com/news\/2017\/01\/12\/woody-harrelson-cast-han-solo-film\/\">Woody Harrelson<\/a>), who tells Solo that he&#8217;s putting together a crew for what we can assume will lead us to a heist. There&#8217;s a shot of Solo getting ready for what looks like a showdown at high noon in which, Han will HAVE to shoot first.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"620\" height=\"349\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/z2r-fDbDmiI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>We spend some time seeing how Ehrenreich looks and sounds in the role made uber famous and iconic by Harrison Ford, but we also get to know new characters like Qi&#8217;Ra (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com/news\/2016\/12\/07\/emilia-clarke-cast-han-solo-star-wars-movie\/\">Emilia Clarke<\/a>) who claims to really know what Solo is, and a new droid sitting in Chewie&#8217;s seat in the Falcon while Lando is in the captain&#8217;s chair. We&#8217;re also briefly introduced to a new alien character who looks to be joining Beckett&#8217;s crew as well and a quick glance at Thandie Newton&#8217;s still unnamed character.<\/p>\n<p>The aesthetic of the film feels a lot more a part of\u00a0<em>Rogue One: A Star\u00a0Wars\u00a0Story<\/em> than it does the newer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com\/hitlist.asp?theme=Star+Wars&amp;utm_source=ee-blog&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_campaign=product\"><em>Star Wars<\/em> Saga<\/a>, as it probably should since it&#8217;s a standalone film. From the Super Bowl spot and the official teaser trailer it feels and looks like we might actually get a look at the famed Kessel Run and the Spice Mines of Kessel. Fans are theorizing that Han might save Chewbacca and\/or his family from slavery on Kessel, or perhaps this heist takes place within the Kessel Run. And when Beckett is recruiting Han, are we getting a look at his home planet of Corellia or is it a third planet (Mimban)?<\/p>\n<p>Along with the trailer we were also gifted four brand new character posters that feature Han, Chewbacca, Qi&#8217;Ra, and Lando.<\/p>\n[justified_image_grid preset=1 ids=&#8221;58870,58871,58872,58873&#8243; thumbs_spacing=5 row_height=200 height_deviation=30 caption=off overlay=hovered overlay_color=#111111 overlay_opacity=0.4 outer_border_width=2 outer_border_color=#cccccc lightbox=prettyphoto margin=&#8221;10px 0&#8243; mobile_caption=off mobile_overlay=off]\n<p>Han&#8217;s humor is there and the score provides a nice build and tension for some high stakes action.
