What do you get when you mix <\/span>The Phantom Menace<\/span><\/i> with <\/span>The Last Jedi<\/span><\/i> and add a pinch of Solo<\/em><\/span>?<\/span><\/i> These guys!<\/span><\/p>\n

Solo: A Star Wars Story\u00a0<\/em>is finally in theaters, and to celebrate Adam Pawlus takes a look at the insanely expansive\u00a0<\/span>Star Wars Solo Action Figure 2-Pack Wave 1 set<\/a>.<\/span>\u00a0With 6 unique figures spread between packs of 2, this set includes\u00a0Rose and BB-8 and 9-E, Lando Calrissian and Kessel Guard, and Darth Maul and Qui-Gon Jinn. Each figure comes with their own accessories and add-ons, as well as their unique Force Link 2.0 sounds.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Though every figure in this is great, Darth Maul is easily the standout. With a removable cloak, stellar face sculpts,\u00a0and a lightsaber that\u2019s able to split apart, he\u2019s incredibly fun to look at it and even more fun to pose. That said, his base actually includes an outdated Sith Empire logo, but Adam touches on that more in the podcast. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Qui-Gon Jinn figure shares an uncanny resemblance to the larger Black Series release from last year. It also sports nice articulation (including a movable head that actually isn\u2019t hindered by long hair)\u00a0and has no problems holding his lightsaber. He features a great face sculpt that matches Liam Neeson’s on-screen portrayal perfectly.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rose and the BB droids are extremely fun figures in their own right, though their Force Link sound chips aren’t working probably. That said, they\u2019re just as good as The Last Jedi<\/em> release from last year, so if you haven\u2019t picked that set up yet, this one\u2019s worth indulging in.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Kessel Guard is also a standout, with a detailed staff and super cool laser cannon that\u2019s mounted on some sort of makeshift tripod. With tons of articulation and beautiful armor, he makes both a great standalone soldier and looks great as a set.<\/span><\/p>\n

And finally, we have Lando Calrissian, who\u2019s based on Donald Glover\u2019s likeness in Solo<\/em>. While most <\/span>Star Wars <\/span><\/i>fans probably already have a Lando (or will be getting one after they see the movie), he’s still a great figure and comes with a removable cape and a blaster that\u2019s able to fit on his hip. He’s also one of the few figures that can actually fit inside the Millenium Falcon (just don\u2019t let Han see). <\/span><\/p>\n
