A rumor is circulating via the <em>Daily Marvelite<\/em>, which claims that the <strong>Avengers 3<\/strong> film will be an epic story split across two movies! Hey, it&#8217;s certainly a possibility. Think of <em>Harry Potter<\/em>, <em>Twilight<\/em>, and <em>The Hunger Games<\/em>, among others, who have successfully (and lucratively) split their final film into an two-part arc? The question is: Can Marvel do it as well &#8211; or perhaps <em>better<\/em>?<\/p>\n<p>While the <a title=\"Daily Marvelite\" href=\"http:\/\/dailymarvelite.com\/\">Daily Marvelite<\/a> has admitted that all their source has told them is that the battle with Thanos will play out over two films, it could be that Avengers 4 will conclude the arc, or perhaps that the third film will be subdivided.<\/p>\n<p>If the report&#8217;s claims are true, the May 2018 and May 2019 &#8220;untitled&#8221; Marvel movies may in fact turn out to be Avengers 3 and 4. As far as contracts are concerned, it isn&#8217;t clear how this would work. Robert Downey, Jr. and Chris Evans&#8217; deals will expire after one of those two films, and neither have expressed in interest in renewing their deal.<\/p>\n<p>Most fans are assuming that the film will be an adaptation of the Jim Starlin graphic novel <em>The Infinity Gauntlet<\/em>, which spawned a number of sequels in the Marvel Universe that might serve as a thematic &#8220;second half&#8221; to the Avengers 3.<\/p>\n<p>What do you think?
