In Marvel Cinematic Universe continuity, Hope is absolutely not here for anyone’s nonsense. Not her father’s, not Scott Lang’s, not any of the myriad of bad guys she’s punched in the face. Losing her mother at a young age might have hardened the hero when it comes to dealing with others, but Wasp knows what it takes to keep the world spinning. Even if that means making the tough call.

Squirrel Girl

Source: Marvel

The phrase “it takes all kinds of kinds” rings true for superheroes as well. Thankfully, there’s a whole lot of Earths to play with in the multiverse. And as we learn in Edge of Spider-Verse #2 (September 2014), Earth-65’s Gwen Stacy didn’t die. Instead, it was she who got bitten by the radioactive spider instead of Peter Parker. While there are many things that change from Earth to Earth, one thing remains the same: superheroes are viewed as menaces to society. In Earth-65’s defense, she did (kind of) kill Peter, but he was a giant lizard at the time. It’s complicated!

Captain Marvel

Source: Marvel

For years we’ve seen the MCU version of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes depicted as Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Black Widow, the Hulk, and Hawkeye. They’re all incredible, and deserving of most of the accolades they’ve received, but it turns out Earth’s mightiest hero has just been a little busy while the MCU has been running its course. Through her comic book tenure, Carol Danvers’ Captain Marvel has been touted as quite possibly the strongest Avenger around, and it looks as if the MCU is about to finally show us why. Things have gotten a little bit dicey on the Thanos front, but this human-Kree hybrid is about to show the Titan what happens when you mess with her planet.

The views expressed in this article are solely those of the writer and do not necessarily reflect the views of Entertainment Earth, Inc. its owners, officers, employees, affiliates, subsidiaries, partners, vendors, customers or licensors.

We all know who runs the world.
