ATTACK OF THE DOC<\/em>, a new retrospective documentary about G4TV and Attack of the Show<\/em>, has launched on Kickstarter. ATTACK OF THE DOC<\/em> looks to answer the question; \u201cWhatever happened to G4TV and Attack of the Show<\/em>?\u201d<\/p>\n

Attack of the Show<\/em> was a pop culture television network and variety program, respectively that provided commentary, news, reviews, and previews about tech and pop culture media of all kinds. The show launched the careers of Olivia Munn, Kevin Pereira, and other on-air talents.<\/p>\n

ATTACK OF THE DOC<\/em> will explore the rise and fall of the hit show, all while examining its larger impact on the internet, TV, and pop culture landscapes. The documentary, directed by Chris Gore – a former on-air personality for \u201cAOTS<\/em>\u201d, will provide a peek behind the curtain and show off exclusive, never-before-seen footage, as well as brand new interviews with the cast, crew, and creators as they reminisce about their time on the show.<\/p>\n

Backers of the Kickstarter will have the opportunity to submit their own questions to be asked during the interviews as part of what the filmmakers are calling, \u201ca large-scale, collaborative
\neffort to make something by fans, for the fans\u201d. Additionally, backers can gain access to an exclusive podcast that includes all of the documentary\u2019s uncensored, uncut interviews with the
\ncast and crew as they share stories about the creation, production, and cancellation of the pop culture variety show.<\/p>\n

Director Chris Gore says about the film; \u201cI go to a lot of Comic-Cons, and it\u2019s the question I get all the time. I didn\u2019t realize [Attack of the Show<\/em>] meant so much to so many people. Fans really
\nwant to know what happened to it, and I feel like it isn\u2019t an accident that they miss it more now than ever. I think it\u2019s about time we answer some questions about where the show went. This documentary will help with that.\u201d In regards to his relationship to show, he notes; \u201cI appeared weekly on Attack of the Show<\/em>! where I did the DVDuesday segment. While I was part of the
\nteam, I was also a fan of the show. I watched every episode and enjoyed it as much as you did. And frankly, I want answers too.\u201d<\/p>\n
