Iron Man 4<\/strong><\/a> is in the cards for Marvel’s heroes.<\/p>\nToday on The Ellen Show, Robert Downey Jr. teased the upcoming discussions about the Marvel cinematic universe continuing.<\/p>\n
“I know there\u2019s going to be a bunch more Marvel movies,” he said. “And they have big ideas of how to do it best and, you know, we\u2019re in the middle of negotiation\u2026”<\/p>\n
But he couldn’t stay quiet because, when asked directly, he said YES. Yes, there will be an official Iron Man 4 and yes, Robert Downey Jr. is in discussion to reappear as billionaire playboy philanthropist Tony Stark.<\/p>\n
Fans either loved or hated Iron Man 3 so it’ll be interesting to see which direction the fourth installment of the Iron Man series points. Will we see cameos from his Avengers counterparts? What’s next in the story between Tony Stark and Pepper Potts? Will this focus on Tony Stark without the suit since he destroyed his suits at the end of Iron Man 3?<\/p>\n
We’ll just have to wait and see. Personally, I’m thrilled to hear there’s a fourth film in the works and I’m crossing my fingers that Mark Ruffalo joins the cast as Bruce Banner in more than just an after credits cameo. Maybe they’ll use this as a stepping stone to introducing a Black Widow or Black Panther feature length film. Doubtful but I can certainly hope!<\/p>\n
