New X-Men: Apocalypse Posters Feature Good and Bad Mutants Alike

Lest we forget about X-Men: Apocalypse amidst all the Civil Wars and Batman v Supermans, 20th Century Fox has revealed a new set of character posters for their next mutant movie!

There are 10 total, featuring both familiar faces, and new mutants who we’re going to be meeting for the first time at the end of May. At least new versions of the characters.

Noticeably absent is Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac), himself, however.

Each character gets a chance to show off their powers, or at least how badass they are.

Here’s a synopsis for the film:

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

X-Men: Apocalypse is set to hit theatres on May 27, 2016, directed by Bryan Singer, and starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Alexandra Shipp, Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Evan Peters, Olivia Munn, and Oscar Isaac.

What do you think of these character posters? Are you looking forward to the film?
