Luckily for all of us, that’s exactly what’s happening! Twentieth Century Fox announced yesterday that they will be moving forward with the Deadpool movie, scheduled for release on February 12, 2016.
The new Marvel movie will have Tim Miller at the directing helm and a script from Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Pual Wernick, the film is sure to please fans of the Merc with a Mouth. Ryan Reynolds, Wade Wilson in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, is expected to star but he has not signed for the full film.
After the huge response to the summer’s leaked footage of Reynolds as Deadpool, the studio decided to move forward with the film. Approving an R-rated film based on comics couldn’t have been easy but we’re certainly looking forward to the results.
This footage appeared on the web in July of this year and hasn’t disappeared yet. See Deadpool in action below.
