Disney Parodies Star Wars and More with Hilarious Zootopia Posters

Disney’s next animated film, Zootopia, opens next spring and promotional marketing for it is in full swing.

Luckily for us, it’s all been thoroughly entertaining, including the posters and trailer below!

The studio released a slew of new posters for the film, which might not be anything special except… they parody all the biggest films of 2015.

So in order we have: Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Ex Machina, Cinderella, Jurassic World, Straight Outta Compton, and 50 Shades of Grey.

They also released a general poster for the film, which has some great inside jokes in and of itself:

The “DNKY” poster, the “Carrot” phone, the walk sign, it’s a brilliant way to show how this film is simply a parody of our real world if it were inhabited by anthropomorphic animals.

Next is the truly hilarious clip/Sloth trailer for the film, which sees our main characters, Officer Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman), at a DMV run by… sloths. So you can imagine how that goes. It’s fantastic.

This is a movie that runs the danger of going relatively unnoticed given it’s not a fairytale nor attached to anything, per se. But everything they’ve released so far for the film has me more and more excited to see it, so props to you, Disney. (Not that I don’t already see everything Disney, anyway….)

Zootopia is directed by Byron Howard, Rich Moore, and Jared Bush. It stars the vocal talents of Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, Idris Elba, Alan Tudyk, J.K. Simmons, and Octavia Spencer. It’s set to hit theaters on March 4, 2016.
