KITT was no ordinary Pontiac Trans-Am. No sirree. This black beauty was heavily modified with numerous features, including an extremely durable shell and frame, and control by a computer with artificial intelligence. The car used as KITT in the TV series was a customized 1982 Pontiac Trans-Am sports model that cost US $100,000 to build!
