Through an arrangement with Lucasfilm Ltd., creators of the Star Wars saga, The Animated Animations Company presents, for the first time ever, a series of Limited-Edition Fine Art paper and canvas prints inspired by the Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, and Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.

Artist Tsuneo Sanda was born in Osaka, Japan. His early idols include Rembrandt, René Magritte, Paul Davis and Robert Peak. Sanda first discovered his love for art around the age of 7.

A Star Wars fan since 1977's A New Hope, he describes the film as filled with dreams. The saga continues to be "a part of my brain cells" even today. "The first few moments of each episode overwhelm me," Sanda says, "exploding in my head like brilliant fireworks."

Sanda's artwork, including the pieces featured here, are a part of Lucasfilm Ltd.'s awe-inspiring art collection.

Giclée (zhee-klay) is a French word that means a spray or a spurt of liquid. The term "giclee print" connotes an elevation in printmaking technology. Images are generated from high resolution digital scans and printed with archival quality inks onto various substrates including canvas, fine art, and photo-base paper. The giclée printing process provides better color accuracy than other means of reproduction.
