Description
WWII 101st Airborne Figure:
From the 12 inch Elite Force World War II Series comes the 101st Airborne action figure, "Corporal 'Bud' Norris". Featuring a fully posable action body, this 1/6th scale authentic collector figure includes diecast metal weapons and accessories and a custom expression mechanism.
Originally nicknamed the Eagle Division for the Eagle on their shoulder patch, the 101st U.S. Army Airborne later became famous as the "Screaming Eagles". As a part of the invasion of France on June 6th, 1944 the 101st was deployed before the waterborne invasion to secure the beachhead exits against German reinforcements. Thus they were among the first U.S. Forces to see action in the D-Day operation. The 101st were also involved in other significant operations such as Operation Market Garden in Holland, 1944 and the Battle of the Bulge in December of that year.
