A star was born when Donald Duck made his screen debut in the 1934 Silly Symphony short The Wise Little Hen. Walt Disney created the quarrelsome quacker after hearing a voice impression of a baby goat performed by Disney Legend, Clarence Nash. The goat quickly transformed into an irascible duck with a problem making himself understood. Audiences took to Donald like a duck to water and his popularity nearly eclipsed Mickey Mouse's. Donald went on to headline in 128 theatrical shorts, more cartoons than any other Disney star, with Clarence "Ducky" Nash voicing him for over 50 years.
Audiences recognize themselves in Donald's all-too-human foibles. As Walt Disney observed, "Donald is a very outrageous fellow, with bad manners and a worse temper, and everyone is fond of him, including myself."
Master Replicas is proud to offer this special Donald Duck Character Statuette replicating his personality in larger-than-life detail as part of the Walt Disney Showcase Collection. If you've ever lost your cool when things go awry, you'll identify with Donald's over-the-top frustration.
