Neon Genesis Evangelion Revoltech EVA-04 Figure:This Neon Genesis Evangelion EVA Unit-04 PVC action figure features an innovative joint system called Revoltech that allows the figure to demonstrate any kind of realistic pose. The figure stands 5-6-inches tall and has multiple points of articulation. EVA Unit-04 comes equipped with an umbilical cable, interchangeable weapons and a set of interchangeable hands.
Unit-04 was supposed to be a new advancement in Evangelion technology. The armor and weaponry was supposedly superior to previous EVAs. Also, Unit-04 featured the Super Solenoid (or S-2) engine, which was the same source of power the Angels used. The S-2 engine eliminated the need to have an external power umbilical, as well as emergency batteries. Ironically, Unit-04 was completely destroyed in an explosion when it's S-2 system failed. Gainax's classic sci-fi and mecha series has seen multitudes of re-releases from ADV and copycats that try to duplicate the success of Neon Genesis Evangelion. The popular show has a strong following and is continually gaining more fans from its airing on the Cartoon Network. With an intriguing plotline and set of characters, this series will withstand the test of time.
