Rocket USA continues the R.U.R. line with the R-1 Blue Robot. This 12 inch tall tin robot features bump'n go action, flashing eyes and flashing ears.
Who invented the first robot? "R.U.R (Rossum's Universal Robots)" was written in 1920, premiered in Prague early in 1921, was performed in New York in 1922, and published in English translation in 1923. This play invented the word "Robot," by basing it upon the Czech word robota which means "drudgery."
