Even amongst the battle-eager Space Marines the Blood Angels have a fearsome reputation. They have fought the enemies of mankind for ten long millennia, but few know the full truth of their bloodthirsty exploits. The inner struggle that drives every Blood Angels Marine into battle with a righteous fury that few others can match. In one of the most famous engagements at the battle of Istva II, the Blood Angels, under heavy fire from the Alien Eldar, left their defended position, charging across the battlefield towards their oncoming enemy. Brother Holst was at the fore of this charge, delivering bursts from his boltgun before joining the fray with only the butt of his gun and his fists to use as weapons. The surprise of the assault caught the Eldar off guard and they were driven back by the Blood Angels. But still they came on! The thirst of blood baying at their very throats as they caught the fleeing Eldar and put them to their deaths! And afterwards, there stood Brother Holst. The fallen Eldar about him! His years of training in the combat doctrines of the Space Marines slowly overcoming the rage that boiled inside him. It was not yet time for the black rage to fully descend.
