Enter through the rocky arch topped with decorative animal cutouts and a colorful zoo sign. Once through the turnstiles, be sure to check out the feeding schedule so that kids can visit their favorite animals when they're most active. The penguin habitat is a must-see for bird lovers, as adult and baby penguins waddle around while a curious pelican watches from the rock wall. After visiting the area, parents can buy their kid a stuffed animal or a penguin balloon from the souvenir shop before heading over to the lion enclosure. These fierce mammals love gnawing on bones and roaring at passersby.
