Description
Splendor & Riches Designer Series Tiki Mug:Continuing the Mondo Design Series of tiki mugs, comes the Splendor & Riches Designer Series Tiki Mug! Something like a cross between a Catholic candle and something from the Sediec Ossuary, the 7-inch tall mug holds 22oz. and features a tan glaze base, with a dark brown wipe.
Artist Becky Cloonan came up with a design, where the only request being "something with a Grim Reaper." Cloonan says: "This mug was inspired by a Latin funerary inscription on a Roman gravestone dating back to the 5th century A.D.: neither splendor nor riches, but tranquility of spirit and body is provided here. So until then may we all find splendor and riches in this life — be it love, friendship, or a surprise at the bottom of a mug!".
