In Season 4 Episode 6 "The Raven," Captain Kathryn Janeway entered into negotiations with the highly distrustful race to enter B'omar territory and take an easier route, as traveling through B'omar space could reduce the length of the U.S.S. Voyager's return journey to Earth through the Delta Quadrant by three months.
