"This was your Father's lightsaber."
And this is an awesome giclee art print by James Silvani! The Star Wars This Was Your Father's Lightsaber Paper Giclee Print is super nostalgic and really makes you wish that you were
Luke Skywalker... minus having to stumble upon the charred corpses of the Aunt and Uncle who raised you, or fight your father in a death match, or have your hand chopped off, or almost become dinner for a Wampa... or a whole number of other things that you can watch all of the movies to find out about. If you are in the know, though, then this is the art print for you. It really does an amazing job of capturing that iconic scene where Luke Skywalker handles a lightsaber for the first time in his life inside the house of old Ben Kenobi. Rendered in an awesome style that's all James Silvani's, this incredible piece of artwork has been printed on paper and is a hand-numbered limited edition of 95 pieces. Complete with certificate of authenticity, this gorgeous paper giclee measures 19-inches tall x 13-inches wide.
Giclee (pronounced "zhee-clay") is an invented name for the process of making fine-art prints from a digital source using ink-jet printing. The word was coined to distinguish commonly known industrial "Iris proofs" from the fine-art prints artists were producing on the same printers. The name has since come to mean any high-quality, ink-jet print, and is often used in galleries and print shops to denote such. In the past few years, the word (as a fine-art term) has come to be associated with prints using fade-resistant "archival" inks and the inkjet printers that use them. A wide variety of substrates are available, including various textures and finishes such as matte photo paper, watercolor paper, cotton canvas, or artist textured vinyl.
