This Wanted! Caricature & Western artbook is published by Les Editions Valentine and gathers a collection of works by the masters of caricature: Achde, Borot, Coquelet, Da Costa, Thomas Lebelter, Maester and Mulatier. This bilingual edition has English and French text featuring the works of 7 artists, 180 pages and 261 caricatures. The book is 11-inches tall x 11-inches wide, with a matte coated softcover.

"Once upon a time in the west there were seven magnificent artists. Each rode alone but after having sharpened their tools and skills against each other in repeated showdowns, they decided to team up, swearing never to become a hokey choral, knowing they might be working for a fistful of dollars, hopefully a few dollars more, but mostly, just for the fun of it…
Thus was formed the Gang of the Seven, "Lucky" Achde, Jean-Marc "Wyatt" Borot, Thierry "Wild Bill" Coquelet, Charles "Buffalo" Da Costa, Thomas "the Kid" Lebeltel, "Butch" Maëster and Jean "Tom Horn" Mulatier. Each one faster to draw than the other, and as wild as the west of their dreams.
The West. The True West, the one in all those movies of our childhood days, of cowboys and Indians, of wide open ranges and tough looking faces filmed in CinemaScope. These rugged, windswept faces, more wrinkled than the Grand Canyon, chiseled in Mesa rock and whitewashed by a merciless sun. Only the power of caricature could do justice to these-larger-than life figures of the silver screen.
They're almost all here: The Good, the Bad, the Ugly, Harmonica, The Magnificent Seven, Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid, Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday, Clint, John, Kirk, Sharon, Claudia... They're ultimately joined together, in the end credits on the paper screen. Boy, what a cast! All works presented in these pages have been lovingly created by hand, "old-style." Without computer assistance, a wonderful tool which tends however, to even out and water down distinctive styles. I wanted to recapture the thrill and the danger of drawing on the page. When you mess up on the computer, no big deal, one click and you just go back one step. With a pen, with watercolors, with a paintbrush, there is no turning back. The West is unforgiving! I extend my thanks to my six compadres for picking up the gauntlet and for playing along, they've made this book all the more beautiful." - Maester
