Toy Biz Lives on in Hasbro Marvel Action Figures

Once upon a time, there was a company known as Toy Biz. It originated in Montreal, Quebec, Canada as Charan Toys, but was renamed Toy Biz in 1988 and became an American firm. Best known for its Marvel Comics action figures and other toys, the firm became a subsidiary of Marvel Entertainment and was renamed Marvel Toys in 1998. With Hasbro acquiring the master toy license for Marvel Comics and Marvel Entertainment going bankrupt, Marvel Toys left the Marvel universe and Hasbro released its first products in January 2007. The Marvel Toys website went inactive in late 2007. So, no more Toy Biz and no more Marvel Toys, but kudos to Hasbro for carrying the torch forward with Marvel action figures, some in retro Toy Biz packaging!
