"We're All Mad Here" - Mad for Alice in Wonderland!

Few tales have captivated audiences so thoroughly and for so long as that of the young girl who follows a white rabbit and finds herself down the rabbit hole in a fantasy world of living playing cards, an evil queen, a mad hatter, a talking caterpillar, and a Cheshire cat that speaks and disappears. What we often call Alice in Wonderland began with a boat ride where author Lewis Carroll came up with a story to tell the three young girls in the boat. He called it "Alice's Adventures Under Ground," which he later recorded in a handwritten manuscript with his own illustrations and gave to the girl named Alice. In 1865, the expanded story was published as Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, commonly called Alice in Wonderland. It's one of the best-known works of Victorian literature, has never been out of print, and has been translated into almost 200 languages! The popular novel led to the 1871 sequel Alice Through the Looking-Glass and adaptations for radio, art, opera, ballet, musicals, theme parks, board games, video games, and dozens of animated and live-action Alice in Wonderland films.
