Fans of Samuel L. Jackson may be surprised to see him cast in the movie as a low-level bureaucrat and without the signature eye patch of Nick Fury. That's because this film takes place before Fury loses his eye and before he becomes the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. In fact, he has no idea about superheroes, and you-know-who is the first one of those he comes across!

In the film, it's the Kree vs. the Skrull, with Earth caught in the middle of a nasty little galactic war between extraterrestrials. On the plus side, you get to experience more of your favorite actors and actresses taking sides in the conflict and appearing as or on action figures, Pop! vinyl figures, statues, key chains, wallets, bags, purses, and more! There's Djimon Hounsou as Korath; Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser; and Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, the shape-shifting leader of the Skrull invasion of Earth, who's working undercover within S.H.I.E.L.D. as Fury's boss. Lashana Lynch plays Maria Rambeau, Gemma Chan is Minn-Erva, Algenis Pérez Soto portrays Att-Lass, Rune Temte is Bron-Char, Mckenna Grace plays young Carol Danvers, Clark Gregg is Phil Coulson, and Jude Law portrays Mar-Vell / Walter Lawson.

'Tis true! In addition to her own film discussed above, 2019 also saw the superheroine return in the blockbuster movie Avengers: Endgame where she joined the Avengers in their epic battle to destroy Thanos and his army and reverse the damage caused by the Mad Titan in Avengers: Infinity War. And have no fear. She's destined to appear again in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as well as more hot merchandise that will thrill fans and collectors alike!
