Robert John Arthur Halford (born August 25, 1951) is an English singer and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist for the heavy metal band Judas Priest. Halford is known for his four and a half-octave vocal range (D2-G#6), high-pitched screams, and for his leather-clad biker image.He is regarded as one of the most skilled and respected singers of Heavy Metal. Halford has been nicknamed the "Metal God" as a tribute to his influence on metal. He currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona, US.
