While not usually associated with desert operations, SEALS are well trained for such climates and have operated in Somalia and during the Gulf War. Utilizing the Desert Humvee and the Desert Patrol Vehicle for mobility, they are equally proficient in the use of camouflage netting and have and excellent training in the principles of survival in such climates
