Air Force Special Forces: The Air Forces Special Operations Command is an elite combat team of the US Air Force. They go on missions with other special operations forces, including Navy Seals, Army Rangers, Special Forces, and Marine Corps Force recon. Because they work with several different elite forces, AFSOC members are required to be highly skilled in land, air, and sea operations. they are qualified in parachuting, underwater and amphibious operations, and combat tactics. Most of the men who join AFSOC were members of other special forces, giving them valuable prior experience and training. The 4 core tasks of AFSOC are froward presence and engagement, information operations, precision employment and strike, and special operations forces mobility. One of the weapons that Air Force Special Operations Command members may carry with them on mission is the PSG1, a semi-automatic marksman rifle that provides precision accuracy over extremely long ranges.
