Bayonetes & Barbwire - German Rifleman Figure Description:
Sideshow Toys presents Bayonetes & Barbwire Series 4, from the innovative military 12 inch action figure series featuring soldiers from World War 1. Series 4 includes a single boxed action figure, German Rifleman, Infanterie-Regiment von Winterfeldt NR 23 figure represents a soldier during the transition period from 1914 - 1915 and has been issued with: Enlisted Pickelhaube helmet ; Feldmutze soft cap ; 1914 transition tunic, 1910 field gray trousers ; Pre-war pattern Great coat ; 1896 Wartime knapsack with mess tin and shelter half ; Mauser G 98 rifle ; 98/05 Sawback bayonet with frog, troddel and scabbard ; Lineman entrenching tool and leather carrier ; waist belt with Prussian square buckle ; Mauser cartridge boxes; marching boots ; bread bag ; water bottle ; and 1915 Gummimask with cloth carrier. The 23rd Regiment was officially titled the Infantry Regiment von Winterfeldt, of the Prussian Line, but was also referred to as the 2nd Upper Silesian. The 23rd was originally one of four regiments that belonged to the 12th Division. The composition of the 12th Division changed continually as the First World War progressed and at times included cavalry and artillery units as well as other support services.
