Holly Starlite Maquette Description:
Holly Starlite, purveyor of peace throughout the galaxy! The "Holly Starlite" Maquette stands 8-inches tall and is based on an original character created by Tracy Mark Lee. Limited Edition of 500 pieces. In animation a maquette is a small model of an intended work, used by animators as a reference tool to help retain character consistency. This maquette is hand-painted and made of cold cast resin. Created in 1961, Holly's comic career spanned 6 years and ended in a spellbinding cliffhanger. Fans had to wait almost 20 years to see the mystery resolved in "The Adventures of Holy Starlite", the 1985 feature film in which the evil Lord Lofarus finally met his fate. Fan hatred of Holly's long time nemesis was so intense, the scene of his death was often greeted with lengthy applause. Since then Holly has been featured on everything from lunchboxes to T-shirts, proclaiming "Holly for President". Nostalgia for Holly Starlite is still strong even today where rumors of a new Holly live action feature abound!
