LOTR Mini-Helmets (Series 1) Description:
These cast metal helms (helmets) are exact 1:4 scale miniatures of the helmets used in "Fellowship of the Ring," the first film in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. They have been expertly recreated by the same metalsmiths who made the full scale pieces for the films. Each sits on a classically turned pedestal tha includes the name of the helm and the sculptor's signature. This set includes: 1x Orc Hide Helm, 1x Orc Crowfaced Helm, 1x Orc Trapjaw Helm, 1x Orc Squinter Helm. From Sideshow/WETA's Lord of The Rings Series 1. (Subject to change.)
Orc Hide Helm: Made of stretched skins, bound with sinew, Hide Helms were a light weight alternative to the clumsy metal bowls typically employed by Orcs. Many of Saruman the Wizard's Orc servants wore Hide Helms of varied design during their daily existence in the grounds of Isengard.
Orc Crowfaced: A crude but efficient defense, the Crowfaced Helm was one of a variety worn by Sauron's Orc hordes in their battle against the Alliance of Elves and Men in the Second Age of Middle-earth.
Orc Trapjaw Helm: Hammered and pinned together out of overlapping plates of rough steel, the cumbersome Trapjaw Helms were an ugly but effective defense for the Dark Lord Sauron's Orc marauders in the Second Age of Middle-earth.
Orc Squinter Helm: Developed to shield Orc smiths from the searing heat of their forges, Squinter Helms had long faces and tiny eye-slits. They were also worn into battle when the Orc fought for their master, Sauron the Dark Lord.
