MLB GameBreaker Series 1 Hideki Matsui - New York Yankees Description:
New York Yankees slugging center fielder Hideki Matsui has a knack for delivering clutch hits. Through ten seasons in the Japanese Central League, he parked 332 home runs (averaging 32 per year). This season, which represents his MLB debut, has Matsui putting his hot bat to use for the Bronx Bombers. Now collectors can study his powerful swing by ordering one of Upper Deck's newest products: MLB GameBreakers. These specially designed figurines (non-bobbing head) are made of high-quality Polyresin material, stand 7.5 inches tall and weigh approximately one pound each. Each figurine includes a simulated batter's box base with a brass nameplate of the featured player. The common Matsui version (showing him in his home Yankees pinstriped uniform) is squeaky clean: no dirt. But collectors beware: There are 100 randomly inserted ''dirty knees'' Matsui Home Uniform versions so be on the lookout for this rare collectible! Limited to 5555.
