Sgt. Rock figure includes: field jacket, helmet, bandolier and submachine gun. The remaining four figures include: field jacket, helmet and rifle. Rock first appeared in "Our Army at War # 81."
Frank Rock received a battlefield promotion to Sgt. during the early days of WWII. This square jawed American embodiment of perseverance molded The Men of Easy Company into the legendary fighting force it became. Easy Company was quietly reflective of the diverse cultural elements, which composed the American war machine. Bulldozer, the strapping farm boy, was Rock's right-hand man. This behemoth could be counted on to remove whatever obstacles lay in Easy Company's path. Little Sure Shot was a Native American who could knock a bird from the sky with one shot. Sure Shot could also track the enemy through all conditions. Jackie Johnson was an ex-heavyweight boxing champ who could wreak havoc in a hand-to-hand fight. Jackie backed down from no man. When pushed beyond the brink, a mild-mannered history teacher became "Wildman", a fierce berserker who belonged in a Viking longboat, not a schoolhouse!
These men, and all the rest of the Men of Easy Company, were one of the greatest fighting units in American military history.
