WWII US Army 5th Ranger Description:
From the 12 inch Elite Force World War II Series comes the 5th U.S. Army Ranger action figure, "Sergeant 'Hoppy' Bell". Featuring a fully posable action body, this 1/6th scale authentic collector figure includes diecast metal weapons and accessories and a custom expression mechanism.
Following the U.S. entry into WWII the U.S. Army saw the need for small, specialized units for specific tasks. To accomplish this six Ranger battalions were formed entirely from volunteers and among their tasks was recon and raiding missions behind enemy lines. One of these battalions was the 5th U.S. Army Rangers and it was this group that landed at Omaha Beach on D-Day and was instrumental in a breakthrough of the German lines. Army Rangers served throughout the European theatre of operations and are well known for their battle cry "Rangers Lead the Way!".
