The process begins by collecting detailed reference material from the Doctor Who archives, which is then sent to the sculptor who produces a 3D digital sculpt. This incredibly detailed file allows the sculptor to include even the slightest detail down to the wrinkles in Davros' face or the buttons on the Doctor's shirt. This digital sculpt is refined in consultation with the BBC's Doctor Who team before it is finally approved. The factory scales the digital files to exactly 1:21 scale and uses them to make precision tools. Digital modeling allows the sculptors to include an incredible level of detail, which ensures the finished figurines are as accurate as possible. All the figurines are carefully produced in 1:21 scale and individually numbered. Each figurine recreates a specific moment from the TV series in loving detail and every sculpt is based on detailed study of the original production photography, props and drawings.
